I love reading books and magazines and I purchase novels from my favorite book store, when I get time, but time has change, with advent of online book stores, I think I am reading more books now than ever. Obviously I hate to read ebooks, and with absence of Amazon kindle, online book store are only help to India. Here is a list of some famous book stores and my favorites one also:-
1) flipKart : This is one of the best online book store in India and this one is my favorite. It is the biggest online book store in India, with thousands & thousands of books to choose from. It offers free shipping, low prices than local book store and the interface is very good and to the point. Being their regular customer, I must say I get my books shipped within 4-5 days of order, this is quite fast than other online stores. And about the customer care, I really have no idea, as I have never needed for help.It has really many payment option, if you don’t have credit/debit card, you don’t need to worry as all transaction are handled by CCAvenue, so no disappointment here.
2) infibeam : This is also a new online store, but it is not limited to books,it sells new and used Cars, Bikes, Scooters, Mopeds, Mobile Phones, Mobile Accessories, Books, Cameras, Watches, Health Equipments, Cakes, Chocolates, Flowers, Combo Gifts etc. We are only going to focus on book section. They also have good collection of books, but I am not happy with their customer care. Being their old customer, once I ordered a book and that book reached me after exactly 10 days and I was also charged twice for it. And the response of customer care is lame and too late. They also have a Live Chat for help, but that is too disappointing. It also has a good no. of payment option, but this is not for me. And the free shipping is only a promotional offer(limited time).
3)Landmark :This is one of the oldest bookstore in India, which has now gone online. Landmark also has a very large collection of books. It not only sells books but music and movie CD/DVDs also. Books can also be purchased from mobile by ngpay application. It is also one of the good online book store and as an old customer of it, I will surely recommend it. But only the negative point is it has very few payment options.
4) rediff BOOKS : This is also a old online book store. It claims to have over 3.5 million books. Their is nothing new to say about it, but books are slightly costly here than other online stores, as it sells from Landmark, Crossword,Oxford & reader’s Digest.
There are also many online bookstores like OXFORD Bookstore, Crossword & ebay India , as I have never been their customer, so I am unable to review them. But from the above bookstores that I have mention, I think flipKart is the best and it is highly recommended.

as i said nothing cud get better than flipkart….
I think indiaplaza is also one of the old players. I have been an infibeam customer for sometime now and looks like their indian collection has gone up quite a bit.
I want best books of Film Direction, Screen writing & Acting.
